    Empowerment Study

We want to help young people make healthy decisions. And we would love to hear from you!

Teens have to deal with all types of things related to sex, from sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unplanned pregnancy to facing peer pressure and having to deal with urges they're not used to experiencing.

Our goal is to find out how young people deal with these pressures and how we can help them make healthy decisions.

Find out more about the Teen Health Empowerment Study by clicking the About link to the right. If you think you'd like to participate, you can call 865-215-5168 or email teenhealth@knoxcounty.org.

The Knox County Health Department is working with community partners, including Rural Medical Services and Cherokee Health Systems on this project. They are also partnering with Abt Associates, a research company that is well-known for its work in helping find out what programs help children, youth, and families.
